1. What data do we use?
We use the following information to run your account, manage event participation and suggest matches:
- Profile and preferences — your name, date of birth, gender, orientation, city, bio, the physical characteristics you provide and your partner preferences; political views are optional
- Questionnaires and ratings — your answers about personality and preferences, and your ratings of sample photos
- Photos — the profile pictures you upload
- Events and tickets — your registrations, tickets, attendance and event matches
- Payments and invoicing — the amount, currency, status and reference for a purchase, your billing name, address, email and any tax number you provide, and the issued invoice details. Our payment provider handles your card details; we do not have access to them
- Account and sign-in — your email address and the information needed to sign in securely
- Interest subscriptions — Your email address, optional name, chosen language and selected event, submitted without an account. We use these to send the new-event and ticket-sale updates you requested. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email.
2. How do we use your data?
- Match suggestions — we use your profile, answers, photos and preferences to automatically suggest other participants you may want to meet. Photos also help us take appearance preferences into account
- Event participation — we manage registrations, ticket purchases and entry to events, and issue invoices for purchases
- Your account and notifications — we provide sign-in, confirmations and important event updates. Newsletters and notifications about new events or reopened seats follow your notification settings
3. Storage and retention
We store profile information, photos and questionnaire responses on hosting located in the European Union.
- Protection — we transfer data over encrypted connections and limit access to what is needed to operate the service
- Account data — we use your profile and related data to run your account and manage event participation. Deleting your account also covers your profile photos, questionnaire answers and matching data
- Payment and invoice records — we keep payment and invoice records required by law for the mandatory retention period. Deleting your account does not delete these records or issued invoices
The external providers involved in running the service are listed below.
4. Who receives your data?
- Account and sign-in (Clerk) — provides registration, email verification and sign-in. Read the provider's privacy policy.
- Hosting and website (Railway, Vercel) — keep the website running and store the data it needs
- Payments (Stripe) — processes payments for event tickets
- Invoicing (Számlázz.hu) — uses billing and purchase details to issue and deliver invoices
- Email delivery (Resend) — delivers the messages we send you
- AI matching and conversation starters (OpenAI) — rates how well two participants' bios and questionnaire answers fit, and suggests conversation starters from bios; it receives no names, email addresses or photos
- Maps (Google Maps) — shows event locations and only loads with your consent
- Website protection (Cloudflare) — helps make the website available and protects sign-in from abuse
Some providers may also process personal data in the United States. These transfers rely on safeguards under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.
We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising.
5. Cookies and browser preferences
We store information in your browser to keep you signed in and remember your choices. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Strictly necessary — always on; needed for sign-in and to remember your choices:
- Sign-in session — keep you signed in
- Theme — remembers your chosen appearance
- Language — remembers your chosen language
- Your cookie choice — remembers which optional features you have allowed
- Preview access — during password-protected early access, remembers your access until you close the browser tab
Optional — only loaded if you consent:
- Google Maps — the map on event pages. Loading it connects your browser to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and other technical data.
Nothing optional loads until you click “Accept all” in the cookie banner or “Load map” on an event page. We remember your choice on this device, and you can change it at any time with the button below.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you

- Data portability — request a copy of your profile and questionnaire answers in a commonly used, machine-readable format
- Correction — update or correct any inaccurate personal information
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for processing that relies on it. You can change notification and cookie settings, and delete your account in profile settings
